The Chajulense Association believes in sustainability through an environmental, social, and business perspective, amid a framework of respect towards the Ixil culture.

We are a non-lucrative organization of producers, working hard under the concept of social business practices, where we administrate productive resources under modern criteria of economic sustainability, efficiency and competition, generating wealth with a social aim in the service of Ixil working families and communities.

We work under quality criteria in everything we do, our coffee’s quality, the quality of our services, quality of administration, etc., with a strong commitment to constant improvement as a way to maintain our validity in our relationship with producers, clients, and cooperatives.  We believe in the ability to constantly improve our coffee’s quality with better agricultural practices, selecting the best quality of fruit, improving the processes of dry and wet threshing, increasing our knowledge as to quality control and investing in technology.

We aim to maintain long term relationships with our buyers, with whom we share quality, environmental and social responsibility values, with fair prices and a win-win attitude.  We provide the world with a fine, fair, and organic coffee so that our families will have fair economic relationships that allow them to improve their quality of life, in harmony with nature.

Our production model is certified organic which answers to the ancient relationship of our Ixil culture with Mother Nature.  We work to improve the environmental sustainability in a medium and long term basis, improving our cultivation techniques, educating our children, and creating awareness in the communities.
